How do I register and protect my patents?

The patent holder has the sole and exclusive right to sell, rent and stock the patented product. Private use of the patented product cannot be prohibited. The patent procedure starts with an application at the Dutch Patent Office. A patent must fulfill three requirements:

  1. It must be an invention
  2. It must be new and innovative
  3. It must be industrially applicable.
